CMM Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Operate CMM machines (manual and/or CNC) for part inspection and measurement.
• Perform layout inspections and testing of components as per drawings and specifications.
• Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) from engineering drawings.
• Conduct MSA studies including Gage R&R and correlation studies.
• Utilize quality instruments such as vernier callipers, micrometre, height gauges, and surface testers.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment.
• Document inspection results and report any non-conformances.
• Support quality audits and corrective/preventive action activities.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

Preferred candidate profile

• ITI/Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a quality inspection role.
• Hands-on experience with CMM operations (Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Hexagon, etc.).
• Strong understanding of GD&T, MSA, and quality control processes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
