Cluster Senior Testing Expert

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end validation of instrument cluster ECUs using NI HIL platforms (PXI,NI Vision)
• Define test strategies, validation plans, and test scenarios for cluster functionalities
• Validate key features, including: Speedometer, tachometer, fuel and temperature displays Tell-tales and warning indicators (ABS, MIL, seatbelt, etc.)
• HMI behavior, animations, and graphical performance
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using LabVIEW, TestStand.
• Configure and maintain NI-based HIL systems and real-time simulation environments
• Perform communication validation (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) using NI-XNET and Vector tools
• Conduct diagnostics testing (UDS, DTC logging, fault injection), Analyze test results, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and resolve issues
• Ensure requirement traceability using tools like DOORS / Polarion / ALM, Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, system, HMI, and integration teams)
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in validation and automation

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in instrument cluster validation and HIL testing
• Hands-on expertise with: NI LabVIEW, VeriStand, TestStand, NI Vision Modules, NI PXI systems
• Strong understanding of cluster architecture and vehicle signals. Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics (UDS protocol)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NI-XNET , NI Vision,NI Labview & NI Teststanf and Vector tools (CANoe / CANalyzer)
• Exposure to HMI/graphics/TFT Screen validation
• Knowledge of CAPL / Python scripting for automation
• Familiarity with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) and ISO 26262
• Experience in NI HIL testing for CLuster Validation
