However, due to regulatory changes in India that restricted foreign investment in multi-brand retail and limitations on how much a marketplace seller could source from its own group companies, Amazon had to restructure its relationship with Cloudtail. Cloudtail ceased operations as a seller on Amazon.in in May 2022.
