Hiring for Cloud Platform Engineer - Chennai
**Responsibilities**:
- ** Development and Implementation/ Code Analysis and Debugging **:
- Develop, test, and deploy solutions using Python (intermediate level or higher) for automation and integration within cloud platforms.
- Leverage Ansible for configuration management and automation of cloud platform solution elements.
- Perform in-depth code analysis & debugging to identify and resolve issues,
- Work on Linux-based systems for platform setup, maintenance, and optimization.
- Manage and optimize databases to support cloud platform operations.
- ** Client and Community Engagement **:
- Independently manage client interactions, technical meetings, and community calls (e.g., Tacker, ORAN, or OpenStack communities).
- Act as a technical point of contact, addressing client queries and providing actionable solutions.
- Represent NEC in community forums, contributing to discussions and knowledge sharing.
- ** Documentation and Collaboration **:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, installation & deployment mops, and troubleshooting manuals etc.
* *Prerequisites **:
- ** Qualification **: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- ** Experience **: 3 5 years of relevant experience in cloud platform development, deployment, or support roles.
- ** Mandatory Skills **:
- Hands-on expertise in Python programming (intermediate level or higher).
- Proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux system administration.
- Experience with database management and optimization (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Excellent code analysis and debugging skills to resolve complex technical issues.
- Ability to independently handle client interactions, technical meetings, and community calls.
- ** Desirable Skills **:
- Knowledge of platform solution architecture, with hands-on experience in OpenStack and Kubernetes (architectural know-how mandatory; hands-on experience preferred).
- Familiarity with Tacker product (good to have).
- Experience in community work, such as contributions to Tacker, ORAN, or OpenStack communities.
- ** Soft Skills **:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
