Associate Architect Cloud & DevOps
- Years of Experience: 10 – 12 years
- Location: Chennai / Coimbatore / Bangalore / Hyderabad
Requirements:
1. Cloud Architecture & Solution Design (Mandatory):
- Design and own end-to-end cloud architectures for enterprise-scale applications and platforms.
- Define architecture standards, reusable patterns, and governance aligned with AWS Well-Architected principles.
- Lead cloud migration, modernization, and cloud-native transformation initiatives.
- Design scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.
- Conduct Well-Architected and security posture reviews.
- Implement security monitoring, compliance controls, and governance frameworks.
- Support implementation of CSPM, vulnerability management, and security automation solutions.
- Design Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity strategies for enterprise workloads.
2. Cloud – AWS (Mandatory):
- Core services: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling
- Landing Zone design and AWS Control Tower for multi-account governance
- Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and VPN for hybrid network connectivity
- AWS Well-Architected Framework – applying pillars during migration validation
- Cloud Security best practices: encryption, IAM least privilege, Security Hub, GuardDuty
- Scripting proficiency: Python, Bash, PowerShell for migration automation
3. Automation & Infrastructure as Code (Mandatory):
- Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning and drift detection
4. CI/CD (Mandatory):
- Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Pipeline design for application re-deployment post-migration
- Integration with source control: AWS CodeCommit, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
5. Containers & Orchestration (Mandatory):
- Docker & Docker Compose for containerizing migrated applications
- Kubernetes (EKS / ECS) for orchestration of containerized workloads
- Helm Charts for Kubernetes application packaging
- OpenShift for enterprise container platforms
6. Migration Tools & Services (Good to Have):
Hands-on experience with AWS-native and third-party migration tooling:
- AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) – server lift-and-shift migrations
- AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) & Schema Conversion Tool (SCT)
- AWS Migration Hub – tracking and orchestrating migrations
- AWS Application Discovery Service (ADS) – on-premises discovery & dependency analysis
- Third-party tools: ModelizeIT, CloudEndure, Carbonite Migrate, Zerto, or equivalent
- Data migration: AWS DataSync, Snowball Edge, Transfer Family for large-scale data movement

8. Stakeholder management, Consulting and Communication
Strong client-facing skills are a core requirement for this role. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable at a whiteboard with engineers and in a conversation with business executives.
9. Present architecture solutions, technical strategies, and transformation plans to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
10. Advise customers on architecture best practices, governance models, security frameworks, disaster recovery, and FinOps strategies.
11. Act as a trusted technical point of contact for clients for cloud transformation, DevOps modernization, and platform engineering initiatives.
12. Collaborate with delivery managers to communicate project status, risks, and decisions to client stakeholders.
13. Support proposal development by contributing architecture inputs, effort estimates, and technical write-ups.
14. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills; maintain professionalism and confidence in all client interactions.
Certification Expectations:

Responsibilities:
21. Design and own end-to-end AWS cloud architecture solutions for enterprise-scale workloads.
22. Lead cloud migration, modernization, and cloud-native transformation initiatives.
23. Design and implement AWS Landing Zones, multi-account governance models, and organizational guardrails.
24. Define cloud architecture standards, reusable design patterns, and governance frameworks aligned with AWS Well-Architected principles.
25. Architect scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions.
26. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
27. Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation frameworks.
28. Drive automation initiatives across infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows.
29. Design and support Kubernetes platforms including Amazon EKS and containerized workloads.
30. Implement GitOps, container orchestration, and cloud-native operational best practices.
31. Lead cloud security implementation including IAM governance, network security, encryption, compliance, and workload protection.
32. Conduct architecture reviews, Well-Architected assessments, and security posture evaluations.
33. Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR), backup, failover, and business continuity strategies.
34. Drive FinOps and cloud cost optimization initiatives including governance, reporting, and utilization analysis.
35. Implement observability and monitoring solutions using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and related tools.
36. Engage with enterprise customers to understand business requirements and define cloud transformation strategies.
37. Lead architecture workshops, technical discussions, and customer-facing solution presentations.
38. Support pre-sales activities including solutioning, effort estimation, technical proposals, and RFP responses.
39. Develop architecture documents, technical designs, solution diagrams, and executive presentations.
40. Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, and project management teams to ensure successful delivery execution.
41. Mentor and guide engineering teams on AWS, DevOps, automation, Kubernetes, and cloud-native best practices.
42. Support sprint planning, technical estimation, work breakdown structure creation, and delivery governance activities.
43. Identify opportunities for platform standardization, reusable accelerators, and continuous improvement initiatives.
44. Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance for enterprise cloud and DevOps transformation programs.
