Sr. Cloud Engineer
Grade: IS3 | Location: Offshore India | Tower: DCC
Role Summary
Designs and implements cloud infrastructure components for the SCF platform, working from the Cloud Architects designs. Responsible for building Kubernetes environments, provisioning cloud-native services, and writing infrastructure-as-code this is cloud engineering and development role, not a DevOps pipeline role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Terraform modules and Helm charts for all platform components per the Cloud Architects designs.
- Provision and maintain Dev, UAT, and staging Kubernetes environments (EKS/AKS).
- Configure and manage cloud-native services: managed PostgreSQL (Aurora/RDS), Redis
(ElastiCache), object storage (S3), and Ka a (MSK or equivalent).
- Implement auto-scaling policies, resource limits, health checks, and pod disruption budgets.
- Deploy and configure the observability stack: Prometheus, Grafana dashboards, and
OpenTelemetry collectors.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and environment issues; support development squads with
cloud-related blockers.
- Maintain infrastructure-as-code repositories; ensure all changes are version-controlled and peer-reviewed.
Required Skills Experience:
- 5+ years in cloud engineering or cloud application development, with at least 2 years on
banking, fintech, or financial services platforms.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience (EKS or AKS) deployments, services, ingress, RBAC,
namespaces, and resource management.
- Proficiency with Terraform and Helm for infrastructure-as-code.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS managed services: EKS, RDS Aurora, ElastiCache, S3, MSK, IAM or Azure equivalents.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry for observability.
- Scripting proficiency: Python or Bash for automation and tooling.
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements for cloud infrastructure in regulated financial services environments.
Nice to Have:
- AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate.
- Experience with Istio or Linkerd service mesh configuration.
- Ka a cluster provisioning and management experience.
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD or Flux) from an infrastructure consumer perspective.
