  • 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenStack platform
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing and virtualization technologies
  • Experience with Linux/Unix administration and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, etc
  • Proficiency in networking technologies, IP networking, VPN s, DNS, load balancing and firewalling
  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools
  • Certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer(RHCE) in Red Hat OpenStack are highly desirable
  • Design, install, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenStack clusters to ensure high availabilityand stability
  • Perform upgrades and patches to the OpenStack components to keep the systems secureand efficient
  • Implement and manage storage solutions using CEPH and NetApp within the OpenStackenvironment
  • Optimize storage performance and capacity planning to meet the demands of public cloudservices
  • Ensure data integrity and availability with effective backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Configure and maintain networking components within the OpenStack environment, such asNeutron, to ensure secure and efficient data transfer
  • Set up VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls to protect and segment network traffic within the cloudinfrastructure
  • Monitor the health and performance of OpenStack clusters and associated storagesolutions
  • Analyze performance metrics and logs to identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Optimize the system for better performance and scalability based on observed data and trend Implement security best practices and policies for cloud infrastructure management
  • Regularly audit the systems to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
  • Manage user roles and access controls to maintain security and operational integrity
  • Provide level 2 and level 3 support for issues related to OpenStack and associated storageplatforms
  • Troubleshoot complex issues spanning across compute, storage, and network layers
  • Coordinate with vendor support and other technical teams for issue resolution
  • Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline administrative tasks such as Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for efficientmanagement of large-scale environments
  • Document all configurations, changes, and procedures related to the OpenStackenvironment and storage management
  • Prepare performance, incident, and availability reports for higher management andstakeholders
  • Conduct capacity planning to accommodate future growth and to prevent over-provisioningand under-provisioning of resources
  • Forecast future needs based on trends in utilization and business growth expectations
  • Work closely with other IT teams, including application development, security, and networkteams, to ensure that the infrastructure supports all business needs
  • Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and other technical staff
