Cloud Architect

About Position:

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect with strong expertise in Kubernetes, cloud migration, and at any cloud platform (AWS/ Azure/ GCP).

• Job Type: Full-Time Employment

What You'll Do:

• Analyze cloud usage, billing, and consumption patterns across multiple products
• Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities across:
• Compute, storage, networking
• Idle and underutilized resources
• Drive migration from IBM Cloud Classic to VPC Gen2 architecture. Create roadmap & execute
• Optimize infrastructure through:
• Right-sizing instances
• Auto-scaling implementation
• Storage tier optimization
• Work closely with SRE and engineering teams to:
• Improve architecture efficiency
• Optimize deployment models
• Implement and govern FinOps practices:
• Cost allocation
• Tagging strategies
• Budget tracking
• Build dashboards and reports for:
• Cost trends
• Savings achieved
• Forecasting
• Perform log and usage analysis to detect inefficiencies
• Ensure optimization actions do not impact SLAs or system reliability
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet 10% annual cost reduction target

Expertise you will bring:

• Hands-on experience with:
• IBM Cloud (Classic + VPC Gen2) good to have
• AWS or Azure
• Strong understanding of:
• Cloud architecture and cost drivers
• Compute, storage, and network pricing models
• Experience in:
• Cost analysis, optimization, and reporting
• Usage monitoring and trend analysis
• Knowledge & understanding of:
• Logging and monitoring tools (any standard stack)
• Autoscaling, containerization, and distributed systems
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
• Scripting skills (Python / Shell)
• FinOps experience or certification
• Kubernetes / OpenShift cost optimization
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with cloud cost management tools (native or third-party)
• Database cost optimization (Db2, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Experience with SaaS / multi-tenant architectures
