JOB PURPOSE
PHINIA is seeking a Hybrid Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of PHINIA s hybrid cloud ecosystem, spanning on premises infrastructure, private cloud, and public cloud platforms. This role ensures secure, scalable, cost efficient cloud architectures that align with PHINIA s digital transformation strategy. The architect will guide cloud migration initiatives and governance standards while partnering closely with infrastructure, security, application, and business teams to deliver resilient hybrid cloud capabilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities

Architect hybrid cloud environments across on prem, private cloud, and public cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Lead hybrid infrastructure modernization, including cloud migration strategies and data center integration.

Establish and enforce hybrid cloud governance models, compliance controls, FinOps principles and security standards in collaboration with PHINIA Security and IT governance teams.

Develop disaster recovery, business continuity approaches, and hybrid failover patterns.

Create and maintain hybrid cloud architectural documentation, integration diagrams, interface specifications, and operational runbooks.

Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, recommend enhancements, and lead proof of concept initiatives.

Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application teams to drive automation, IaC adoption, and CI/CD integration.

Modernize workloads (ERP, MES, PLM, custom apps) using containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-native services.

Design secure OT/IT integration, industrial edge compute, and data pipelines (OPC UA, IoT, analytics).
What we re looking for:

Bachelor s or masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

7+ years of IT infrastructure experience with 4+ years in cloud or hybrid architecture.

Strong expertise in Azure (preferred), plus working knowledge of AWS/GCP.

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), automation, CI/CD tooling and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).

Experience with OT systems and industrial protocols.

Foundation in cloud security, Zero Trust, networking, and governance.

Background in manufacturing/automotive environments is a strong preference.

Certifications such as Azure/AWS Architect, TOGAF, or FinOps are plus.
