Job Description - Cisco ISE Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Cisco ISE Engineer with hands-on experience in ISE 3.x, responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise NAC deployments. The role involves handling day-to-day operational issues, policy management, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for Cisco ISE (3.x) environment
• Troubleshoot 802.1X authentication issues (wired wireless)
• Handle posture assessment issues using Cisco AnyConnect
• Manage and troubleshoot endpoint profiling
• Analyse and resolve client connectivity issues (authentication failures, authorization issues)
• Work on policy configuration and modifications (Authentication Authorization policies)
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure minimal downtime
• Perform log analysis (Live logs, RADIUS logs, debugging, TAC coordination if required)
• Need to work with network, security, and endpoint teams for issue resolution

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ISE 3.x
• Good understanding of Cisco ISE node architecture (PAN, MnT, PSN) and deployment concepts.
• Good understanding of 802.1X, EAP (PEAP, EAP-TLS)
• Experience with Cisco AnyConnect (Posture module)
• Knowledge of Endpoint Profiling Posture policies
• Understanding of RADIUS, TACACS+
• Experience in troubleshooting authentication and authorization issues
• Basic understanding of networking (VLANs, DHCP, DNS, switching, wireless)
• Integration knowledge with AD (Active Directory)
• Exposure to Cisco WLC Access points.
