Chief Technology Officer

About the Role

We are looking for a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a builder's mindset and a technology co-founder attitude to lead CoRover's next phase of innovation and global expansion.

This is not a conventional corporate CTO role. We are seeking a hands-on technology leader who can architect, build, scale, and own world-class AI platforms while contributing strategically to business growth. The ideal candidate should possess deep technical expertise, exceptional delivery capabilities, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build engineering organizations that thrive on innovation and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Vision & Architecture

• Define CoRover's long-term technology vision and platform roadmap.
• Architect highly scalable, secure, fault-tolerant AI platforms.
• Build SaaS, On-Premise, Hybrid, and Sovereign AI deployments.
• Lead platform modernization and enterprise architecture initiatives.
• Define enterprise-wide security architecture, ensuring secure-by-design principles.
• Establish best practices for cybersecurity, cloud security, data privacy, governance, compliance, and secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).
• Drive technology innovation while maintaining enterprise-grade reliability.

AI & Platform Engineering

• Lead the development of Agentic AI, LLM, Conversational AI, and Multi-Agent platforms.
• Build reusable AI frameworks and platform capabilities.
• Optimize platform performance, scalability, latency, and reliability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation across engineering teams.
• Establish engineering standards and architecture governance.

Engineering Leadership & Team Building

• Build and scale engineering teams from 30 to 100+ members.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain exceptional engineering talent.
• Mentor Engineering Managers, Architects, and future technology leaders.
• Build leadership succession plans across engineering.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, design reviews, and quality benchmarks.
• Build high-performing cross-functional engineering organizations.

Product Delivery & Project Management

• Own end-to-end delivery of enterprise AI products and customer implementations.
• Ensure predictable, high-quality, and timely delivery of strategic initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional execution across Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps, Security, and Business teams.
• Drive Agile and Scrum practices across engineering teams.
• Manage engineering roadmaps, sprint planning, release planning, project governance, and delivery milestones.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks.
• Balance innovation with enterprise-grade stability.
• Own delivery KPIs, SLAs, uptime, and customer success metrics.

Product & Business Collaboration

• Partner closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and Business teams.
• Translate business goals into scalable technology solutions.
• Drive customer-centric innovation.
• Contribute to strategic product planning and technology investments.

Security, Governance & Compliance

• Build secure, resilient, and compliant enterprise platforms.
• Define cybersecurity strategy across infrastructure, applications, and AI systems.
• Ensure adherence to global security standards, privacy regulations, and governance frameworks.
• Implement secure coding practices, vulnerability management, penetration testing, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

External Leadership

• Represent CoRover in enterprise, government, and strategic customer engagements.
• Support fundraising, investor meetings, partnerships, and board-level discussions.
• Act as a technology evangelist for CoRover.
• Shape the company's technology vision in the market.
• Function as a technology co-founder by contributing to strategic business decisions and long-term organizational growth.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

• 5-10 years of progressive engineering leadership experience.
• Proven experience building and scaling enterprise technology platforms.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, Kubernetes, DevOps, and platform engineering.
• Strong delivery management experience with large enterprise customers.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management and execution of large-scale technology programs.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum engineering organizations.
• Strong system design and enterprise architecture expertise.
• Experience managing multiple engineering teams simultaneously.
• Proven experience mentoring engineering leaders and developing future technology leadership.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity, cloud security, application security, infrastructure security, identity management, and secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive leadership skills.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology strategy with organizational goals.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced startup and high-growth environments.
• Experience working as a Founder, Co-Founder, CTO, or similar entrepreneurial leadership role is highly preferred.

Good to Have

• Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and Conversational AI platforms.
• Experience with Government, Public Sector, or Enterprise Digital Transformation projects.
• Experience building multi-channel AI platforms (Web, Mobile, Voice, WhatsApp, IVR, Messaging).
• Experience in SaaS and Enterprise Product companies.
• Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams.
• Exposure to MLOps, Data Engineering, AI Governance, and Responsible AI frameworks.
• Experience contributing to product strategy, fundraising, and business scaling.
