Chief Commercial Officer

Position: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

Location: Project Site / Corporate Office | Travel across India & Overseas

Function: SCM & Strategic Procurement

Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO

About the Role

The CCO will lead the SCM and strategic procurement function, establish robust sourcing and supplier networks, drive commercial strategy, optimise procurement costs, and support the organisations domestic and international business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement SCM, procurement, and commercial strategies aligned with business objectives.

2. Lead strategic sourcing, vendor development, supplier evaluation, and procurement planning.

3. Build strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.

4. Drive cost optimisation, commercial negotiations, and long-term supply agreements.

5. Develop and manage strategic vendor partnerships for critical raw materials and operational requirements.

6. Establish procurement processes, policies, controls, and performance metrics for the greenfield project.

7. Conduct market intelligence, price benchmarking, and supplier risk assessment.

8. Coordinate closely with Mining, Operations, Quality, Finance, Projects, and Leadership teams.

9. Ensure timely availability of critical materials while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery standards.

10. Lead annual procurement planning, budgeting, cost control, and supplier performance management.

Qualification

MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, or Business Management with B.Tech in Mining/ Mechanical/ Geology and other Engineering.

Experience

1. 18-25 years of overall professional experience.

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in mineral processing / industrial minerals / mining / manufacturing SCM or procurement.

3. Proven leadership experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commercial negotiations, and supplier management.

4. Strong exposure to domestic and international sourcing.

5. Greenfield project / plant setup experience preferred.

6. Strong network of suppliers and vendors within minerals, mining, quartz, silica, or related industrial sectors is highly desirable.
