Overview
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), formerly Sahar International Airport, is the primary international airport serving the Mumbai Metropolitan Area and is the second busiest airport in India in terms of overall passenger traffic. It is named after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the 17th-century Maratha emperor. The airport has two terminals, one for domestic flights and one for international flights. It is operated by Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL), a joint venture between the GVK Group and Airports Authority of India.
