The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is an Indian autonomous scientific society, operating under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. C-DAC is primarily involved in research and development in IT, electronics and associated areas. Different areas of C-DAC had originated as initiatives to build indigenous supercomputers in India.
