CATIA Design Engineer

We are looking for a skilled CATIA Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CATIA 3D modelling, assembly design, and manufacturing drawings. The candidate should be capable of developing innovative mechanical designs while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using CATIA V5/V6.
• Develop sheet metal, plastic, machined, and fabricated component designs.
• Prepare 2D drawings with GDT, BOM, and manufacturing specifications.
• Modify and optimize existing designs based on engineering changes.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and project teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Conduct design reviews and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain design documentation and revision control.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in CATIA V5/V6.
• Good understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of GDT, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, welded structures, or product design.
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems will be an added advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• 3 8 years of relevant experience in CATIA-based mechanical design.
