Cash Application Specialist - Night Shift

About the Role:

We are seeking a Cash Application Specialist with 2 to 5 years of experience

 Responsibilities:

• Apply and reconcile daily cash receipts across multiple banks, currencies, and payment methods (wire, ACH, credit card, checks, etc.)
• Process and reconcile weekly credit card payment runs, ensuring accurate posting and timely application to customer accounts
• Accurately research and resolve unidentified or unapplied payments, ensuring timely clearing of customer accounts
• Respond to and resolve related to cash application inquiries, including misapplied, missing, or unidentified payments, in a timely and professional manner
• Investigate and address credit balances, short payments, and overpayments
• Process adjustments for bank fees, FX differences, and tax withholding deductions in accordance with company policy
• Collaborate with internal teams (Revenue, Billing, Collections, and Customer Success) to resolve payment discrepancies or remittance issues
• Maintain documentation for all payment applications, adjustments, and reconciliations
• Support month-end close activities by ensuring all cash postings and adjustments are recorded accurately and timely
• Assist with audit requests, compliance initiatives, and special projects as needed

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required
• 2+ years of full cycle Accounts Receivable Cash Applications experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
• Ability to work independently, with a strong work ethic, self-motivation and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; position is highly visible in the company
• Experience in Oracle
• Work during US PST Timezone

Location: Chennai; Locality - Vandalur Shift: Night shift Transportation: One-way cab facility (drop) is provided
