Lead Engineer CAM Programmer
Location: Hubli, Karnataka
Experience: 6-10 Years
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer – CAM Programmer to develop and optimize CNC machining programs for complex components. The candidate will be responsible for CAM programming, process planning, tooling selection, machining strategy development, and supporting shop-floor manufacturing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and optimize CNC programs using CAM software.
- Develop machining processes for CNC milling and turning operations.
- Support production by troubleshooting machining and programming issues.
- Review engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Improve productivity, cycle time, and machining quality.
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams.
- Lead and mentor junior programmers.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Mastercam, NX CAM, PowerMill, or similar CAM software.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, and process planning.
- Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
Qualification: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
