CA Fresher - Accounts Payable, Tax compliance on TDS & GST

Key Roles & Responsibilities-:

DS Compliance & Tax Management:

• Review and validate TDS applicability on all processed invoices before payment release.
• Coordinate with the Tax Team to resolve TDS-related queries from business teams and suppliers.
• Monitor TDS recoveries and follow up with suppliers for outstanding recoveries.
• Drive closure of pending TDS refund cases and liaise with the Tax Team for timely resolution.
• Review vendor tax documentation and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Automation of TDS Refund to loan borrowers

Accounts Payable & Financial Control:

• Oversee invoice processing and payment approvals to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Review vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor aging items and ensure appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure proper accounting entries and compliance with internal controls.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Audit & Compliance:

• Coordinate with Concurrent Auditors and Statutory Auditors for audit requirements.
• Review and close audit observations within agreed timelines.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all transactions.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with procurement, operations, finance, and tax teams to resolve issues.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding tax deductions, recoveries, and reconciliations.
• Provide guidance to internal teams on tax compliance matters.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to strengthen tax and payment controls.
• Implement automation and process improvements to reduce manual
• Develop and monitor compliance dashboards and MIS reports.
