Job Title: Senior C++ Developer Linux & Payments

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled C++ Developer with strong Linux systems programming experience and deep understanding of payment processing platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high-performance payment applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and regulatory compliance across payment ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical payment applications using C++.
• Build and enhance payment processing solutions supporting card payments, real-time payments, digital wallets, and transaction switching.
• Develop high-performance, low-latency applications on Linux platforms.
• Implement and support payment message formats and protocols such as ISO 8583, ISO 20022, SWIFT, and API-based payment integrations.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and product teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Perform performance tuning, optimization, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of production issues.
• Develop integrations with payment gateways, acquirers, issuers, processors, and banking systems.
• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Create technical documentation, design specifications, and operational procedures.
• Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
• Support deployment, testing, and release activities across various environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in C++ development.
• Strong expertise in Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with multi-threading, socket programming, IPC, STL, and low-latency application development.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash/Korn shell).
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.

Payments Domain Experience

• Hands-on experience in payment systems, transaction processing, or banking technology.
• Good understanding of:
• ISO 8583 message standards
• Payment switches
• Card acquiring and issuing
• Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, or domestic payment networks
• Real-Time Payments (RTP)
• Faster Payments
• Cross-border payments
• Merchant acquiring systems
• ATM/POS transaction processing
