Job Description

About the team :

It comprises the development and production of transmissions and axles for agricultural and construction machinery as well as driveline technology for material handling systems, rail and special vehicles.

What you can look forward to as C++ Developer :

  • Analyse system and software requirements, maintain traceability, and develop robust embedded software for SW applications using C++. The scope covers requirements analysis, implementation, unit verification and qualification testing.
  • Design, implement, review and optimise reusable software components while simplifying complex architectures to improve performance, reliability and maintainability.
  • Develop and validate communication features based on CAN, J1939, UDS and related Marine protocols, including effective debugging of softwarehardware interactions.
  • Perform code reviews, static analysis, unit testing and SIL testing. Investigate defects and ensure compliance with defined quality and zero-defect delivery objectives
  • Maintain build, integration and configuration environments, including CI pipelines, Git/Conan packages and release artifacts; contribute to build and test automation.
  • Collaborate with system, software, test and global engineering teams; provide technical guidance, support architecture decisions and take ownership of assigned software features through the complete V-model lifecycle

Your Profile as C++ Developer :

  • Bachelors or masters degree in engineering, or equivalent domain experience, with 5+ years of embedded C++ software-development experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in C++11 (mandatory), with working knowledge of C++14/C++17, object-oriented design, design patterns and software architecture.
  • Experience with embedded communication protocols, particularly CAN, J1939 and UDS; knowledge of NMEA and Marine systems is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of compiler and linker behaviour, memory management, build systems, embedded debugging, system-level optimisation and RTOS concepts.
  • Experience in unit testing, static analysis, CI-compatible builds, SIL/virtual ECU environments and defect-prevention practices, with a strong focus on software quality.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as IBM DOORS, JIRA, Git/Conan, ClearCase, SVN, Integrity, Visual Studio, CANape and CANalyzer, along with good analytical, technical-leadership and communication skills.
