- Provide guidance on international and regional engineering drawing standards, including ASME Y14.x, ISO (including ISO GPS, ISO 128, ISO 1101), DIN, JIS, and related standards for dimensioning, tolerancing, GD&T, surface finish, welding symbols, fits and tolerances, and engineering drawings.
- Represent downstream consumers of engineering drawings, including manufacturing, machining, fabrication, assembly, quality inspection, procurement, suppliers, and services, to ensure drawings effectively communicate design intent.
- Validate product designs and features against real-world engineering scenarios through reviews, prototypes, and customer engagements.
- Create reference workflows, best practices, demonstrations, and educational material that showcase effective engineering drawings.
- Contribute to the definition, development, and validation of functional specifications for new engineering drawing features and solutions in Fusion.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience creating and reviewing engineering drawings in manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of the complete engineering drawings lifecycle from concept and detailed design through manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and production support.
- Deep knowledge of engineering drawing standards and practices, including GD&T and applicable ASME, ISO, DIN, and JIS standards.
- Demonstrated experience creating and consuming engineering drawings across multiple manufacturing domains, including consumer products, industrial machinery, tooling, sheet metal, machined components, weldments, and complex assemblies.
