Business System Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders (clinical, operational, and IT teams) to gather and analyze business and system requirements
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
• Work on healthcare systems such as EHR/EMR, claims processing, billing, and patient management systems
• Perform gap analysis, process mapping, and workflow optimization
• Support implementation and enhancement of healthcare applications and systems
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, etc.)
• Coordinate with development and QA teams for solution delivery and testing
• Create and maintain documentation including BRD, FRD, user stories, and test cases
• Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure successful system adoption
• Analyze data and generate insights to support business decision-making
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation

Preferred candidate profile

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst
• Strong experience in the healthcare domain (provider, payer, or healthcare IT)
• Knowledge of EHR/EMR systems, claims, billing, or healthcare workflows
• Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR
• Proficiency in requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
• Experience with SQL and basic data analysis
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
