Key Responsibilities


1. Business Development & Revenue Generation

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve annual and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Generate new mandates for Credit Rating Advisory, Debt Syndication, Banking Facilitation, and related services.
  • Identify business opportunities across SMEs, Mid-Corporates, Large Corporates, NBFCs, HFCs, and Financial Institutions.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through direct outreach, referrals, networking, and market intelligence.
  • Lead client presentations, commercial negotiations, and proposal discussions.
  • Drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing client portfolios.
  • Monitor lead conversion and mandate acquisition ratios.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Acquire and manage key corporate relationships across target sectors.
  • Build strong relationships with Promoters, CFOs, Directors, Finance Heads, and Treasury Teams.
  • Act as a strategic advisor on credit rating requirements and related financial advisory solutions.
  • Ensure high client retention, repeat business, and long-term engagement.
  • Handle complex client situations and ensure timely resolution of escalations.
  • Conduct regular portfolio review meetings with clients.

3. Credit Rating Advisory Business Promotion

  • Promote credit rating advisory solutions to corporate clients seeking bank finance, debt restructuring, working capital enhancement, term loans, and capital market access.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of credit ratings and rating improvement strategies.
  • Support clients in understanding rating methodologies and rating agency expectations.
  • Work closely with analytical teams to align client expectations and service delivery.

4. Rating Agency & Financial Institution Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with major rating agencies.
  • Coordinate with rating agencies regarding mandates, timelines, management meetings, and information requirements.
  • Strengthen relationships with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, and lending partners to support business generation.
  • Identify opportunities through ecosystem relationships and referral channels.

5. Marketing & Branding Development

  • Drive market visibility and brand awareness initiatives for the Company.
  • Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, chamber events, trade associations, and networking platforms.
  • Develop referral partnerships with Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Cost Accountants, Financial Consultants, and Investment Advisors.
  • Support digital marketing campaigns, lead generation initiatives, webinars, and business events.
  • Gather market intelligence regarding industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.

6. Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Relationship Managers.
  • Allocate sales targets, client portfolios, and business territories.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against established KPIs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and training programs.
  • Support recruitment and talent development initiatives within the department.

7. Portfolio Management

  • Manage a portfolio of strategic and high-value clients.
  • Track renewal opportunities, surveillance ratings, and recurring business engagements.
  • Ensure portfolio profitability and revenue growth.
  • Improve client retention and customer lifetime value.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and business contribution

8. Reporting, MIS & Governance

  • Maintain accurate Excel MIS/CRM records and business activity reports.
  • Prepare revenue forecasts, sales pipeline reports, and management dashboards.
  • Track business acquisition metrics, conversion ratios, and portfolio performance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, sales governance standards, and company policies.
  • Present periodic business updates and market intelligence reports to senior management.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA (Finance/Marketing) preferred.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CFA, FRM, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Credit Rating Advisory, Credit Rating Agencies, Banking, NBFCs, Financial Services, Corporate Lending, or Consulting.
  • Proven track record in client acquisition and relationship management.
  • Experience in handling corporate clients and financial institutions.
  • Understanding of credit ratings, lending products, debt markets, and financial advisory services.
