About Us
Founded in 1974 through the merger of four British state-owned airlines (British Overseas Airways Corporation, British European Airways, Cambrian Airways, and Northeast Airlines), British Airways was privatised in 1987. The airline has grown to become a global leader in air travel, offering a wide range of services including economy, premium economy, business class (Club World), and first class cabins. In 2011, British Airways merged with Iberia to form IAG, which also includes airlines like Aer Lingus and Vueling.
