Job Description
We are seeking a BIW / Sheet Metal Design Engineer with strong expertise in UG NX for automotive product development. The role involves designing and developing BIW structures and sheet metal components, ensuring manufacturability, feasibility, and compliance with OEM standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop BIW structures and sheet metal components using UG NX.
- Work on part design, assembly, sheet metal, and drafting modules.
- Interpret and apply master sections for BIW packaging and assembly feasibility.
- Apply GD&T, DFM/DFA principles, and tolerance stackup analysis. Manage BOMs and work within Teamcenter/PLM systems.
- Ensure designs align with the automotive product development cycle and OEM design methodologies.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality designs.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong handson experience in UG NX (Part Design, Assembly, Sheet Metal, Drafting).
- Indepth knowledge of BIW product design and sheet metal components.
- Experience in master sections, BIW packaging, and assembly feasibility. - Good understanding of GD&T, DFM/DFA, tolerance stackup, and BIW manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Teamcenter/PLM and BOM management.
- Knowledge of automotive product development cycle and OEM design methodology.
