BIM Modeller - Bridges

As a technician within our Bridges team, your role will evolve to be able to develop engineering calculations and sketches into 2D Drawings and 3D Models using tools such as Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit. You will be responsible to set up, manage and coordinate your models and drawings with other engineering disciplines. While working closely with design and client teams to enhance collaboration and deliver innovative solutions. In doing so, you will build your engineering and digital expertise, strengthen your ability to communicate complex concepts effectively through digital platforms, and ensure all work adheres to industry standards and regulations for engineering design and digital information.

Your Skills and Experience

• Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering with 2-5 years of relevant working experience.
• Competent and extensive experience in AutoCAD and Revit
• Proficiency in preparing general arrangement and outline drawings for bridge structures projects and civil structures.
• Ability to independently review and interpret models and drawings produced by others, including architects, engineers, and clients.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary project teams and engaging with external clients.
• Solid IT capabilities, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrable working knowledge of BIM processes and standards such as ISO 19650 with an understanding of BIM principles and exposure to BIM-based projects.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Willingness to actively contribute to design workshops and collaborative sessions.
• Experience working across multiple disciplines (not essential)
• Familiarity with Tekla Structures and Civil 3D (not essential).
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete detailing and familiarity with CADS RC (not essential)
