Replica BIM solutions is looking for BIM Coordinator to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey
- Modeling MEP Systems: Create accurate 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on engineering drawings, specifications, and design requirements. This includes HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, electrical wiring, plumbing layouts, fire protection systems, and other MEP components.
- Coordination and Clash Detection: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that MEP systems are properly integrated and coordinated within the building design. Use clash detection tools to identify and resolve conflicts or collisions between different building systems to prevent construction errors and rework.
- System Design and Layout: Assist in the design and layout of MEP systems, including sizing ductwork, piping, conduits, and equipment to meet building codes, standards, and project requirements. Ensure that MEP designs adhere to industry best practices for efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
- Detailing and Documentation: Develop detailed drawings, schematics, and documentation for MEP systems, including plans, elevations, sections, and schedules. Provide accurate dimensions, annotations, and specifications to communicate design intent and facilitate construction and installation processes.
- Quantification and Estimation: Generate material takeoffs and quantity surveys from MEP models to estimate project costs, quantities of materials, and labor requirements. Assist in budgeting, bidding, and procurement processes by providing accurate data and quantities for MEP components.
- Code Compliance and Standards: Ensure that MEP designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards governing MEP systems, including NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers), and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and MEP-specific plugins and tools. Stay updated on the latest software features, enhancements, and workflows to improve productivity and efficiency in MEP modeling and coordination tasks.
