Backup Administrator

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Backup Administrator to join our growing infrastructure team in Gurgaon. In this role, you will take ownership of Veeam-based backup deployments, work directly with customer IT teams, and ensure seamless onboarding and delivery of backup and business continuity services.

Role & responsibilities

Deployment & Technical Administration

Provision accounts and infrastructure for Veeam deployments (Veeam console, S3 GUIs, etc.)

Install and configure Veeam Backup & Replication and other Veeam product suite solutions

Troubleshoot Veeam Backup & Replication issues and resolve product-related incidents.

Project & Customer Management

Manage multiple concurrent onboarding projects, prioritizing work against aggressive timelines

Collaborate closely with customer IT teams to ensure proper and timely deployment of services

Ensure all sales and customer requests are handled promptly and in line with defined procedures

Communication & Coordination

Respond to customer queries professionally, maintaining clear communication pre- and post-delivery

Coordinate onboarding schedules and project timelines with partners and clients.

Basic Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in backup & business continuity, cloud technologies, or IT operations (SaaS, IaaS, DRaaS, BaaS)
• Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication and related products
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail

Ability to independently manage small projects from start to finish

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications (e.g., Veeam VMCE or equivalent)
• Experience with work management or ticketing systems (CRM, Salesforce, Zendesk)
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms: VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix
• Previous hands-on experience with DRaaS, BaaS, IaaS, or SaaS environments
