Backup Administrator

Role & responsibilities :

1. Good understanding of design, implementation and troubleshooting for various backup technologies
2. In-depth understanding of day-day backup administration tasks such as management and monitoring of jobs, reporting, escalation of failed jobs, scheduling adhoc backups, capacity utilization, maintaining audit trails etc
3. Manage and maintain the backup systems
4. Experience with deduplication storage systems, with Data Domain is a must
5. Should be able to co-ordinate with respective OEMs to ensure SLAs and during break fix
6. Performing emergency data and system recovery from backups for Linux, Unix, Virtual, and Windows servers
7. Provide 24x7 IT operations support in a team on a rotation and on-call basis
8. Should be proficient in handling large and heterogeneous setup with knowledge on troubleshooting of issues
9. Should possess good communication skills
