Backend Engineer

As a Backend Engineer, youll build and enhance the backend systems that power Enlite’s intelligent automation platform. You’ll work on scalable services, cloud-native applications, and AI-enabled workflows while collaborating with experienced engineers to deliver reliable and high-performing solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java (8+) and Spring Boot.
• Build and support microservices that power infrastructure automation workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and testing efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
• Work on database design, optimization, and performance tuning using MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Implement caching and messaging solutions using technologies such as Redis and Kafka.
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications in Linux-based cloud environments.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Explore and integrate AI-driven capabilities into backend services where applicable.

What You Bring

• 3–4 years of backend engineering experience with strong proficiency in Core Java.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices-based applications.
• Experience working with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, distributed systems concepts, and backend development best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adopt AI-powered development workflows.

Bonus Points For

• Experience building automation or workflow-driven applications.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, LLM-based applications, or AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools.
