Azure DevOps Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate application build, test, and deployment processes.
• Manage Azure cloud infrastructure and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure services including AKS, App Services, Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, Storage, and Azure SQL Database.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and release processes using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, and YAML pipelines.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and improve deployment reliability.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and other observability tools.
• Implement DevSecOps best practices, including vulnerability management, secret management, compliance, and security automation.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures, production issues, and infrastructure bottlenecks while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and Helm for scalable cloud-native deployments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by optimizing build pipelines, release strategies, cloud costs, and operational efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, YAML, Azure Repos, and Azure Pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), Terraform/Bicep, ARM Templates, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with scripting using PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI, or Python for automation.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, security, identity management, monitoring, logging, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with container orchestration, release management, configuration management, and DevSecOps practices.
• Familiarity with .NET Core, Microservices, REST APIs, and Agile/Scrum development methodologies is preferred.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) or Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; relevant Microsoft Azure certifications are highly desirable.
