Azure Devops Engineer

Educational Requirements Service Line Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of Azure services, migration strategies, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Act as trusted advisor, helping customers achieve agility, cost optimization, and business value through cloud adoption.
• Develop and implement cloud migration strategies, assess existing environments, and define migration roadmaps.
• Design and document scalable, secure, and high-performing Azure architectures, including infrastructure as code using tools like Azure CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Perform engineering design evaluations for new environment builds.
• Architect, implement and improve automations for cloud environments.
• Implement security practices during implementation and maintain it throughout the lifecycle.
• Advise and engage with customer executives on their cloud strategy roadmap, improvements, alignment by bringing in industry best practices and trends, and work on further improvements with required business case analysis and presentations.
• Create business cases for transformation and modernization, including analysis of total cost of ownership and potential cost and revenue impacts of the transformation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing guidance on security, cost optimization, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, technical teams, and partners, to ensure alignment with cloud transformation goals.
• Monitor and optimize cloud workloads for performance and cost efficiency, ensuring operational excellence.
• Implement and monitor security controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Additional Responsibilities

• Experience in regulated environments with a focus on data privacy and compliance.
• Knowledge of migration strategy, tools, network requirements, and integration pathways.
• Understanding of change management and building new capabilities.

Technical and Professional Requirements

• Azure Kubernetes (AKS), Terraform.
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud architecture patterns, such as microservices, serverless, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in using Infrastructure as Code tools like Azure CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Azure Administrator or higher is often required.
• Designed and deployed an Azure Policy for various resources.
