Azure Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer with strong experience in building scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms. The role involves leading data integration, modeling, and delivery of analytics-ready datasets.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines on Azure
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including APIs, cloud applications, and files
• Build and manage data storage using Azure Data Lake / Data Warehouse solutions
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes
• Design data models (raw, staging, curated layers)
• Implement incremental data loading and transformation logic
• Ensure data quality, validation, and consistency
• Optimize performance and scalability of data pipelines
• Collaborate with BI teams to deliver analytics-ready datasets
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain data workflows

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Azure Data Engineering stack (ADF, ADLS, Synapse or Fabric)
• Expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline design and implementation
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling experience
• Experience working with REST APIs and data ingestion
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices
• Experience in handling large-scale data processing
• Understanding of data validation and quality frameworks

Good to Have

• Experience with Power BI integration
• Knowledge of Python or Spark
• Experience with version control (Git)
• Exposure to cloud architecture design
