Azure Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a high-impact Senior Azure Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join our global operations team. This role is a hybrid of cloud architecture, automated deployment, and rigorous security engineering. You will be responsible for building and maintaining enterprise-grade Azure environments while ensuring they remain impervious to threats through SOC Level 2 OS hardening. As this is a global support role, you must be comfortable working in a rotational shift environment to ensure seamless service across multiple timezones.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Security Engineering & OS Hardening (Mandatory)

• SOC Level 2 Compliance: Lead the "hands-on" execution of OS-layer security fixes and hardening. You will be responsible for mitigating vulnerabilities and ensuring all servers (Linux/Windows) adhere to SOC Level 2 standards.
• Identity & Access: Manage Azure Active Directory and Office 365 administration. Implement SSO (SAML/OpenID Connect) and RBAC to enforce the principle of least privilege.
• Secrets Management: Securely manage API keys, certificates, and credentials using Azure Key Vault with Hardware Security Module (HSM) protection.

2. Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

• Core Azure Management: Architect and manage Azure Web Apps, Virtual Machines (VMs), and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform and ARM Templates to ensure environment consistency and rapid, repeatable deployments.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Design and manage automated pipelines in Azure DevOps, providing full technical documentation for business users and stakeholders.
• AWS Support: Provide foundational management for AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM using the AWS CLI and CloudFormation.

3. Operational Excellence & Monitoring

• Process Adherence: Strictly follow Incident Management and Change Management processes to ensure minimal service disruption during updates or outages.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve complex OS-level performance issues, server maintenance, and application-layer bugs.
• Observability: Monitor global fleet performance and reliability using Datadog and New Relic.
• Database Ops: Manage and optimize Azure SQL Databases and relational data via SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).

4. Networking & Connectivity

• Cloud Networking: Design and manage VNets, Load Balancers, and VPN Gateways.
• Hybrid & Edge: Establish private connectivity via Azure ExpressRoute and optimize global application delivery using Azure Front Door and Application Gateway.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of Infra & DevOps (Web Apps, AKS, VM, Key Vault).
• OS Hardening (SOC Level 2 fixes), Defender for Cloud, Sentinel.
• Expert PowerShell and Shell scripting for Automation Accounts
• Terraform (Primary), ARM Templates, and basic CloudFormation.
• Foundational knowledge of VPC, Subnets, S3, and EC2.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog and New Relic.
• Azure AD, O365 Admin, SSO, SAML, and OpenID Connect.
