Azure Administrator (6-8 Years Experience) - Job Description

Job Summary

Seeking an Azure Administrator with 6-8 years of IT infrastructure and cloud administration experience. The candidate will manage, monitor, secure, and optimize Microsoft Azure environments while supporting enterprise cloud operations and migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and governance.
  • Administer Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, NSGs, Load Balancers, and VPN Gateways.
  • Configure and maintain Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Alerts.
  • Implement cloud security controls, RBAC, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and policy management.
  • Troubleshoot Azure infrastructure, networking, and performance issues.
  • Work with application teams during cloud migrations and deployments.
  • Maintain operational documentation and participate in incident management.

Mandatory Skills

• 6-8 years of IT Infrastructure/Cloud Administration experience.
  • 4+ years of Microsoft Azure Administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, and Security Services.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Backup, Azure Monitor, and Azure Site Recovery.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, and Conditional Access.
  • PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

Preferred Skills

• Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
  • Azure DevOps and CI/CD concepts.
  • Windows Server and Linux Administration.
  • Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
  • ITIL process knowledge.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
