Axact

Axact

Education & Training
Prior to its exposure, Axact employed thousands of individuals across multiple locations.

Overview

Axact was a Pakistani IT company that was exposed in 2015 as running a massive diploma mill operation. The company created and sold fake online degrees and certifications through a network of sham universities. These 'universities' had names designed to sound legitimate, and Axact employed aggressive sales tactics to pressure individuals into purchasing these worthless credentials. The company also operated several fake news websites to promote its fraudulent activities and discredit investigative reporting. Following the exposure, Axact's CEO and several other executives were arrested and faced legal charges. The company's operations were significantly disrupted, but reports suggest that related entities may still be involved in similar activities.
