AWS Devops Engineer

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with 5 years of experience to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Terraform and Kubernetes, with extensive experience in providing infrastructure solutions, managing cloud environments, and executing database migrations. This role involves working with AWS services to ensure the reliability and scalability of client infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and deploy infrastructure solutions using AWS services and DevOps practices.

- Design and create infrastructure diagrams using draw.io or similar tools.

Implement and manage Terraform scripts for automated infrastructure provisioning.

- Configure and manage Kubernetes clusters to support containerized applications.

- Perform migrations of MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases from on-premise environments to AWS RDS.

- Configure Autoscaling Groups, Lifecycle hooks, and other AWS services to optimize infrastructure.

- Manage AWS data backups, including snapshot creation and AMI management.

- Calculate AWS monthly costs using the AWS Calculator and optimize resource usage.

- Set up log pushing mechanisms on EC2 Linux instances using Bash scripting and Cronjobs.

- Monitor and optimize Linux server performance, including CPU and memory utilization.

- Perform user administration, including group management, permissions, and quota configuration.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to user environments and directory settings.

Qualifications:

- 5 years of experience in AWS DevOps.

- Expertise in Terraform and Kubernetes.

- Strong background in cloud infrastructure design and deployment.

- Extensive experience with database migrations to AWS RDS.

- Proficiency in scripting for automation and system management.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
