Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled AWS Developer with 58 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native applications and data processing solutions on AWS. The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable ETL pipelines, building serverless solutions, automating operational processes, integrating APIs, and ensuring secure access management using python and AWS security best practices. The role requires close collaboration with architects, DevOps engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and efficient cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

AWS Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS services.
• Develop reusable and efficient Python-based solutions for automation and data processing.
• Build scalable serverless applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Integrate AWS services and third-party applications through APIs and event-driven architectures.

ETL & Data Engineering

Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, Redshift, SQL queries

• Create and maintain data transformation workflows for structured and semi-structured datasets.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Work with Amazon Redshift for data warehousing, reporting, and analytics workloads.
• Integrate and manage data stored in MongoDB and other data sources.
• Design and maintain workflow pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Develop and manage DAGs for scheduling, monitoring, and automating data processing jobs.
• Troubleshoot workflow failures and optimize job performance.

API Development & Integration

• Design and implement REST APIs using AWS API Gateway and Lambda.
• Develop secure API integrations with internal and external systems.
• Implement API authentication and authorization mechanisms.

Security & Governance

• Implement IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access controls.
• Ensure compliance with AWS security best practices.
• Participate in security reviews and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Support authentication and authorization implementations for applications and APIs.

Monitoring & Operations

• Monitor application and ETL workloads using CloudWatch and related AWS monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency through automation.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Architects, and Product Owners.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and development best practices.

Required Skills

Programming & Development

• Strong experience in Python development.
• Experience with scripting, automation, and backend application development.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs.

AWS Services

Hands-on experience with:

• AWS Glue
• AWS Lambda
• Amazon API Gateway
• Amazon Redshift
• Amazon S3
• AWS IAM
• Amazon EC2
• Amazon RDS
• AWS CloudWatch
• AWS Secrets Manager (preferred)

Data & Database Technologies

• Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Experience with Amazon Redshift.
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
• Good to have Airflow and creating and maintaining DAGs.

Security

• Good understanding of AWS IAM roles, policies, and permissions.
• Knowledge of API authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Familiarity with security best practices for cloud-native applications.

DevOps & Version Control

• Experience with Git/GitHub or similar version control systems.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and deployment automation.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Terraform or Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Experience with event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Step Functions.
• Experience with data migration and modernization projects.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.
