Job Summary

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with a deep understanding of AWS services, focusing on IoT solutions such as Greengrass and SiteWise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and deploying cloud infrastructure, automating processes, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our applications. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a passion for IoT technologies and cloud computing.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure to support IoT applications using services like Greengrass and SiteWise.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
Implement and manage security best practices for AWS environments.
Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to AWS services and IoT deployments.
Stay updated with the latest AWS services and IoT technologies, and proactively recommend improvements.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles, with a strong focus on AWS services.
Expertise in AWS IoT services, including Greengrass, SiteWise, IoT Core, and others.
Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Proficient in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK stack).
Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud architecture.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Qualifications Related to Managing IoT Applications:

Experience in designing and managing IoT architectures, including device management, data collection, and analytics.
Knowledge of IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP) and their implementation.
Experience with edge computing concepts and deployment strategies using AWS Greengrass and SiteWise
Understanding of data storage and processing for IoT applications, including time-series databases and data lakes.
Experience in implementing security measures specific to IoT devices and communications.
Proven ability to manage large-scale IoT deployments and ensure scalability and reliability.
Knowledge of device provisioning, firmware updates, and lifecycle management in an IoT ecosystem.

Preferred Skills

AWS Certified Solutions Architect or other relevant certifications.
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in agile development environments
