The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of automated tests for our web, SQL, REST, and SOAP-based financial systems
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Automation Test Lead to define and implement a new test automation tech stack and strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable software solutions
Location : Pune
Experience : 4 to 6 years
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Automation Test Lead to develop and implement a new test automation tech stack and strategy for our financial systems
Design, create, and maintain automated test scripts for web, SQL, REST Assured, and SOAP-based applications
Integrate automated tests into the software development lifecycle and continuous integration processes
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure thorough test coverage and high-quality software solutions
Identify, analyse, and report on test results, defects, and trends to drive improvements in the software development process
Continuously research and stay current on the latest trends and advancements in test automation technology and best practices
Train and mentor team members in test automation techniques and tools
Essential & Technical Competencies
Hands-on knowledge of Linux or Unix scripting
Hands-on knowledge of BDD Cucumber Framework/Python OR JAVA
Hands-on knowledge Jenkins
Hands-on knowledge Selenium WebDriver Automation
Hands-on of API testing techniques Rest Api automation using Rest Assured SonarQube experience desirable
Git (Version Control) Analyse results of tests and to be able to update existing test suits after API changes
Basic Knowledge about CI/CD Concepts
Usage of Postman or JMeter tool to modify requests to validate multiple outputs on scenarios
Exposure to UI Automation, Selenium, JAVA Rest Assured, TestNG
Experience using at least one defect management tool JIRA, HP ALM, ADO etc Experience with Payments domain (good to have)
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in test automation with a focus on web, SQL, REST, and SOAP-based systems
Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices
Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Familiarity with various software development methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall
Passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements
