Automation Test Engineer

What you will do " Design, plan, execute and automate tests for software and manage test activities for applications under development " Provide input on high-level test scenarios, challenges, risks, resources, test estimates, etc., during planning meetings. " Scope out and create test plans, test data, procedures, and scripts. " Provide repots to management regarding test metrics and defects. " Work with tech leads, architects, and product owners to understand new product requirements " Co-ordinate work throughout multiple projects and/or large-scale project. " Utilize available test framework and tools and provide long-term strategy for automated testing of applications " Mentor and coach test engineers and push the teams performance to a higher level " Drive innovation and integration of new technologies for internal projects and the test infrastructure " Follow testing best practices and standards and ensure compliance from all test engineers. " Provide process guidance and governance for proper testing of software products

Must have

" 5+ years experience in an IT or Business environment, testing highly scalable applications with strong experience in designing automation platforms and writing automated tests

" Fluent in one or more of Test automation tools like Selenium and BDD frameworks like Cucumber

" Strong in Java and knowledge of other programming language like Python, RoR

" Exposure to API testing tools (Ex: Postman, SOAPUI) that require coding skills to create tests

" Able to independently support projects and work with various stakeholders.

" Have experience in estimation, prioritization, and planning/coordination of testing activities in a Scrum environment

Good to have

" Working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes) and integrating test suite with tools in the DevOps/CICD pipelines

" Experience in writing SQL queries, procedures, and functions

Who you are

" Graduate/Post graduate in BE/Btech, ME/MTech or MCA is preferred.

" Have excellent communication and prioritization skills.

" Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE/SCRUM environment.

" Have a strong desire to improve their skills in software development/testing, frameworks, and technologies

" Detail oriented leader
