Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Playwright Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in building, enhancing, and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright. The ideal candidate should have a strong testing background, experience with modern AI/MCP-enabled automation capabilities, and a passion for mentoring teams and driving automation best practices across projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Create, execute, and optimize automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
- Utilize Playwright MCP and AI-assisted automation capabilities to improve test creation efficiency, maintainability, and coverage.
- Analyze test execution results, identify root causes of failures, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
- Continuously improve automation frameworks by adopting industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Develop reusable automation utilities, libraries, and reporting mechanisms.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives on Playwright automation.
- Mentor and support engineering teams in adopting Playwright-based test automation solutions.
- Ensure automation frameworks are aligned with CI/CD pipelines and quality engineering standards.
- 3-6 years of overall experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Minimum 2+ years of recent hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Playwright automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience with Playwright MCP and AI-driven automation capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with at least one additional automation tool/framework such as:
- Selenium
- Cypress
- WebdriverIO
- TestCafe
- UFT
- Similar automation frameworks
- Strong understanding of:
- Test Automation Framework Design
- Functional, Regression, and End-to-End Testing
- Software Testing Methodologies
- Test Design Techniques
- CI/CD Integration
- Automation Best Practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation, mentoring, and stakeholder management abilities.
