Playwright Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Playwright Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in building, enhancing, and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright. The ideal candidate should have a strong testing background, experience with modern AI/MCP-enabled automation capabilities, and a passion for mentoring teams and driving automation best practices across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Create, execute, and optimize automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
• Utilize Playwright MCP and AI-assisted automation capabilities to improve test creation efficiency, maintainability, and coverage.
• Analyze test execution results, identify root causes of failures, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks by adopting industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Develop reusable automation utilities, libraries, and reporting mechanisms.
• Conduct training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives on Playwright automation.
• Mentor and support engineering teams in adopting Playwright-based test automation solutions.
• Ensure automation frameworks are aligned with CI/CD pipelines and quality engineering standards.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-6 years of overall experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
• Minimum 2+ years of recent hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Playwright automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience with Playwright MCP and AI-driven automation capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with at least one additional automation tool/framework such as:
  • Selenium
  • Cypress
  • WebdriverIO
  • TestCafe
  • UFT
  • Similar automation frameworks
• Strong understanding of:
  • Test Automation Framework Design
  • Functional, Regression, and End-to-End Testing
  • Software Testing Methodologies
  • Test Design Techniques
  • CI/CD Integration
  • Automation Best Practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation, mentoring, and stakeholder management abilities.
