Test Planning:Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans for API testing
Automation Framework Development:Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks for API testing
Select and use appropriate tools for test automation
API Test Scripting:Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using scripting languages (e g, Python, Java) and automation tools (e g, Selenium, Postman, RestAssured)
Integration Testing:Conduct integration testing to ensure that APIs function correctly and seamlessly integrate with other components of the system
Regression Testing:Execute automated regression tests to verify the stability of APIs after changes or updates
Performance Testing:Collaborate with performance testing teams to design and execute performance tests on APIs to ensure scalability and reliability
Defect Management:Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with developers to facilitate their resolution
Test Reporting:Generate and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
Provide regular updates on testing progress and results
Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA team members, to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Continuous Improvement:Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in API testing
Propose and implement improvements to the testing process and automation framework
