Autocad Designer

Role & responsibilities

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D).
• Good knowledge of fabrication drawings.
• Understanding of structural steel sections.
• Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication practices.
• Ability to prepare BOM.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Drawing Preparation
• Prepare 2D fabrication drawings using AutoCAD. Develop GA (General Arrangement) and layout drawings.
• Create assembly and part drawings for fabrication.
• Revise drawings based on engineering changes.
• Fabrication Support
• Prepare fabrication drawings with:
• Dimensions
• Welding symbols
• Tolerances
• Material specifications
• Ensure drawings are production-friendly and error-free.
• Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Prepare accurate Bills of Materials.
• Verify material quantities against approved drawings.
• Coordinate with the Purchase and Stores departments.
• Technical Coordination
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers and Production teams.
• Clarify drawing-related queries during fabrication.
• Support project execution with timely drawing updates.
• Documentation
• Maintain drawing revisions and document control.
• Organize CAD files according to company standards.
• Ensure proper version control of drawings.
• Quality & Compliance
• Follow engineering drawing standards and drafting practices.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Minimize drawing errors and rework.
• Drawing accuracy.
• Timely completion of drawings.
• Number of drawing revisions due to errors.
• BOM accuracy.
• Support provided to production and project teams.
• Compliance with engineering standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Willing to travel PAN India
• Immediate joiners are highly preferable
