Role : Java Backend Developer (Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka, DevOps)

Experience : 4 to 6 Years

Location : Mumbai Onsite

Role Summary :

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer with 4+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS Cloud, and Kafka. Exposure to DevOps practices and a basic understanding of AI technologies will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

- Develop RESTful APIs and Microservices-based applications.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.

- Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.

- Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

API & Integration :

- Design and integrate REST APIs.

- Work with third-party systems and internal services.

- Ensure secure and reliable API communication.

- Handle authentication and authorization mechanisms.

Event-Driven Development :

- Develop and maintain Kafka producers and consumers.

- Implement asynchronous messaging and event-driven workflows.

- Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka-related issues.

Cloud & DevOps :

- Deploy and maintain applications on AWS.

- Work with services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudWatch.

- Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation.

- Work with Docker and containerized deployments.

- Participate in release and deployment activities.

Database Management :

- Design and optimize database queries.

- Work with relational and NoSQL databases.

- Ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, QA teams, and DevOps engineers.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

- Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and delivery.

- Experience in Banking, FinTech, Payments, or Enterprise applications.

- AWS Certification is a plus.

Ideal Candidate :

A developer with 46 years of experience in Java Backend Development, strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, and Kafka, familiarity with DevOps practices, and the ability to build scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. Exposure to AI technologies is a plus and will help support future innovation initiatives.
