Job Description

Procurement: Based on SFOP, calculate the requirement, give call up to vendor and ensure the right quality material in right time with right quantity. Vendors visit as per requirement. Compliance of statutory requirement. MIS data keeping, generation and modification.

Vendor Management: Create, release, amend and close Purchase Order. Work with vendors for strategic tie up capacity development. Initiate CAPA activity with supplier on nonconformity and with respect to quality and capacity enhancement. Contract review. Issue specifications, drawings and schedule to vendor. Invest in patterns and jigs for vendors. SQP audits for CTQ vendors. Vendor evaluation and rating. Compliance.

Vendor Development: Vendor identification and development for multi-sourcing and quality improvement. Pre-assessment of new vendors. Vendor registration. Procurement, approval and disposal of samples. Rationalization of vendor base.

New Product Development: Vendor base development for new product. Tentative cost working for new product with design team. Evaluate and establish required process for new products at vendor end and procurement related activities at our end. Work towards faster launch and cost-effective new product.

Financial Management: Finalize rate contracts. Take approvals for POs and pricing. Initiate cost reduction drives. Estimate rates for marketing input during quotation.

Spares Business: Procure regular materials for spares to ensure timely availability. Procure integrated parts of regular materials for spares. Negotiate rates of integrated parts.
