Job Summary

Job Title: Atlassian Cloud Engineer (JIRA Administration) - Bangalore Overview: We are seeking an Atlassian Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on JIRA administration to optimize, govern, and support our cloud-based JIRA, Confluence, and JSM environments. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands-on experience managing Cloud JIRA instances, including project configuration, workflow design, and user management.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Atlassian Cloud (JIRA, Confluence, JSM) instances, including users, groups, permissions, schemes, and global configurations.
• Design, implement, and maintain JIRA workflows, screens, field configurations, issue types, and custom fields to meet business requirements.
• Manage Confluence spaces, pages, permissions, templates, and lifecycle; coordinate with documentation teams.
• Manage add-ons and marketplace apps; oversee app configurations, licensing, and lifecycle.
• Migrate, bulk update, and tidy up projects, workflows, and permissions to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Collaborate with Product, IT, and Security teams to enforce governance, security, and data privacy standards.
• Monitor performance, run regular health checks, and implement optimization and backup strategies.
• Provide day-to-day administration, support, and training for end-users and project administrators.
• Create and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience administering Atlassian Cloud JIRA, Confluence, and JSM.
• Deep knowledge of JIRA Cloud administration, workflows, permissions, schemes, automation, and reporting.
• Experience with Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Jira Core in Cloud; strong Confluence administration experience.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Access, SAML/SSO, and security/compliance considerations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Location: Bangalore, India
• Shift: 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM (IST)
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Jira automation rules, Jira Query Language (JQL), and advanced reporting.
• Knowledge on Xray and Xporter plugin usage and document creation
• Migration of projects from Data Center to Cloud instance
• Knowledge of migration/mapping between different JIRA/Confluence environments or data formats.
• ITIL or similar service-management background.
