About the Position: Data Analyst
Were seeking an experienced, proactive, and forward-thinking insights professional with a deep passion for data and storytelling. You thrive on developing hypotheses, interrogating complex datasets, and uncovering meaningful trends that reveal market dynamics and audience behaviour. Your analytical rigor and sharp narrative skills fuel the creation of compelling reports.
You will be a strategic force within the business, deepening our understanding of TV viewership trends, translating data into meaningful insights, and positioning Samsung Ads as a thought leader in the CTV and digital advertising space. Youll work closely with internal teams and clients to:
- Interrogate complex data sets to uncover audience behaviour and market dynamics
- Apply rigorous methodologies and critical thinking to turn viewing data into clear, strategic stories and narratives
- Guide brands and agencies toward more effective advertising decisions
- Take ownership of the full lifecycle of research and insights delivery
You’ll also collaborate with global teams across Samsung Ads to share insights, align strategies, and amplify best practices - ensuring we make the most of our global network to drive growth and impact.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Optimize and automate current reporting solutions to facilitate the decision making process
- Build business review decks to empower business team for retaining and on-board new advertisers
- Translate business requirement into data-driven insights to empower Ad sales and marketing team with go to market narratives
- Develop and design interactive dashboards to track key performance indicators across teams
- Deliver innovative consumer insights solutions for pro-active engagements with agencies and clients to drive new monetization opportunities
- Explore data to identify key user behaviour and consumer trends and anomalies
- Clean and validate data before analysis
- Data storytelling - Ability to translate technical analysis into a actionable insights for non-technical audience
- Develop working relationships across teams and exchange best practices with other Samsung Ads entities
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in computer science/engineering or quantitative discipline (Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics). Masters Preferred.
- Strong statistical acumen and spreadsheet wizard
- 2-3 years in a related engineering / analytics work / data mining
- Strong SQL skills – 2-3 years using SQL/ Snowflake
- Strong Python and/or R skills - 3+ years working with Python and/or R for data manipulation, cleansing and automation
- Strong experience in BI / data visualization tools
- Experience with AWS tools such as EC2 and S3
- Jira, Confluence, GitHub , Snowflake and other agile development tool experience
Background
- Knowledge of research design and frameworks for analysis
- Deep understanding of Streaming TV, Linear TV, and Digital Video
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Expertise in market research and audience behaviour
- Thorough understanding of the media landscape and media agency ecosystem
- Strong experience designing data solutions aligned to client business needs
- Knowledge of measurement, attribution
- Experience in digital/addressable targeting
