Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President of Finance and Accounting (F&A) Advisory

We at Genpact are looking for someone to lead in the Assistant Vice President -Invoice to Cash (I2C)!

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the end-to-end Invoice to Cash (I2C) cycle, including credit, billing, collections, cash application, dispute/deductions, and process optimization. They will be responsible for analyzing current processes, recommending and implementing improvements across people, process and technology ensuring best-in-class I2C operations to enhance working capital and overall customer experience.

Key relationships for this role are Client Stakeholders (CFO, I2C Leadership, I2C practitioners), Practice organization, Technology teams and partners, Business Development Teams, Regional and Global operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and optimize the end-to-end invoice-to-cash process across credit, billing, collections, cash application, and dispute/deduction management, including process mapping, metric gathering and data analysis.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, and Customer Service to resolve issues and streamline workflows.

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities (e.g., RPA, AI and Agentic tools) to improve I2C efficiency and accuracy.

  • Lead I2C transformation projects, including system upgrades, ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and process reengineering.

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DSO, collection effectiveness, and unapplied cash and establish tracking mechanisms and improvement opportunities.

  • Support change management and training efforts across global teams during I2C process changes or system rollouts.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and company policies related to receivables and revenue recognition.

  • Partner with IT and data teams to ensure accurate reporting, dashboards, and analytics for I2C performance monitoring.

  • Provide thought leadership in the I2C space including writing Point of Views or White papers in the public domain, work with research partners and coach internal senior stakeholders in Sales on our offerings/capabilities and market trends etc.

  • Integrate leading edge technology with our solutions to provide improved productivity to clients

  • Drive special initiatives within the practice organization

  • 30-40% travel required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • relevant experience in Invoice-to-Cash (solutioning or consulting ideal)

  • Strong understanding of I2C processes, controls, and best practices.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally in global environments.

  • Ability to develop and apply creative, workable solutions to project-related issues

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Experience with automation or AR SaaS tools (e.g., HighRadius, BlackLine, Sidetrade) is a plus.

  • Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials, NetSuite).

  • Excellent communication - verbal and written

  • Strong Presentation skills

  • Creative thinking/innovative attitude

  • Strong eye for business and understanding of business issues across multiple focus sectors

  • Ability to engage senior client management on offerings, emerging issues in I2C, lead project scope discussions and provide insightful recommendations
