Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Sport Hostel Management: Act as the primary administrator for all sports infrastructure, equipment, and tournament schedules across various indoor and outdoor disciplines within the girls' hostel premises.
- Gym Operations & Management: Oversee the daily operations of the girls' hostel gymnasium, ensuring proper schedules, enforcing safety guidelines, and assisting students with correct fitness training practices.
- Equipment Care & Maintenance: Responsible for the routine tracking, upkeep, and maintenance of all gym machinery and multi-sport equipment; ensuring safety checks are done regularly and reporting any replacement requirements.
- Comprehensive Sports Coaching: Design and execute daily technical training, physical conditioning, and tactical practice sessions for the multiple sports activities engaged in by residential students.
- Departmental Coordination: Actively coordinate with all university sports coaches across different disciplines to align training methodologies, schedule matches, share resources, and ensure a cohesive sports environment.
- Student Engagement & Coordination: Foster maximum sports and fitness participation among residential students, encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle and balanced recreation within the hostel community.
- Team Selection & Mentorship: Identify athletic talent among female students across different sports, mentor them to build confidence, and prepare competitive university teams for interuniversity and national championships.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute internal hostel leagues, multi-sport tournaments, fitness challenges, sports days, and friendly matches to keep the residential sports ecosystem active.
- Administrative Reporting: Directly report to the Senior Manager - Sports and Events and coordinate with the office of the Dean of Student Welfare to provide regular updates on student progress, gym/sports attendance logs, and facility maintenance needs.
Required Qualifications & Eligibility (UGC Aligned)
• Education: Masters Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) or Sports Science with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university.
• Additional advantage: Certification in Fitness Training/Gym Instruction.
• Technical Certification: A specialized Degree/Diploma in Sports Coaching or Physical Education from NSNIS (Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports) or an equivalent recognized national sports body is highly preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in managing multi-sport facilities, handling gym operations, coordinating residential campus sports, or coaching at the university/college level/academy/school level.
• Skills:
o Excellent organizational, administrative, and event management capabilities across various sports disciplines.
o Sound knowledge of gym equipments, fitness machinery maintenance, and workout safety protocols.
o Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively alongside other sports coaches and communicate well with female student-athletes.
